Urban Glam-Clueless Fashionista approved event

Oct 3, 2010 by

Recently, Clueless Fashionista had the opportunity to attend a shopping event at an amazing accessories boutique called Seven74 in Atlanta. In recent months, shopping events have become a great way for store and boutique owners to increase sales for their locations. They offer some great hors devours and possibly cocktails and invite people to come out to their store. It’s a wonderful idea because not only do the customers (you!) get access to some great deals, it’s also a cool way to network. It’s always nice to meet someone new while trying on a wonderfully sparkly piece of jewelry.

Urban Glam is an event organized by Urban Suite Entertainment and we were invited to visit Seven74 boutique and enjoy delicious sweets while browsing lots of sparkly things. I’ve recently discovered that I am a big fan of sparkly jewelry and accessories and Seven74 was filled with them!

It was a great event and I have definite plans to return to Seven74 to get some sparkly baubles. You should definitely keep an eye out for similar events in your area. They are totally worth it. If you happen to live in the Atlanta area, stop by Seven74 it’s at 482 EdgeWood Avenue; Atlanta, GA 30312.

Lo End Theory Charity Luncheon-Clueless Fashionista Approved Event

Aug 28, 2010 by

If you’re in the Atlanta area Labor Day weekend, there will be two events going on that you should check out. Presented by the Advocate Management Group, Lo End Theory is a series of events that pay homage to a group of youth who bonded over a lifestyle based on the notions of loyalty, self expression through fashion and survival. They also bonded over the classic clothing brand, Ralph Lauren.

Highlighting the philanthropic heart of Lo End Theory, the Atlanta event series will feature a block party, artist showcase and a brunch to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. You guys know that I am always encouraging you to find your voice in fashion and I love the opportunity to support an event based on that idea alone. Something you may not know is that I’m also a big fan of supporting worthy causes so a fabulous event with a charitable contribution will always be number one in my book.

If you want more information about Lo End Theory and the Atlanta events, visit www.loendtheoryatlanta.com or click the flyer below.

Summer Beauty Quencher-Clueless Fashionista Approved Makeup Event

Jul 12, 2010 by

If you’re going to be in Atlanta this week and are interested in learning more about makeup and how to apply it, you should definitely check out this class hosted by P3 Lab and Mimi J Artistry. I know I’m always talking about visiting a makeup counter for help but if you have an opportunity to attend a class that’s not too expensive (this one is $20 in advance, $25 the day of the event), you should take it. Click on the picture below to be taken to the website so you can purchase your ticket. Since I won’t be able to attend myself, I would love to hear how it went and I can share your thoughts on the blog.

National Food Bloggers Bake Sale

Apr 21, 2010 by

Ok, I’m sure you’re looking at the title thinking that this is not a food blog by any means and you would be right. However, I do enjoy watching The Food Network and trying new recipes. Plus, one thing I’ve learned about looking good is that it includes taking care of your total body, inside and out. So as I work to improve my total well being, I’ve begun to pay more attention to the type of food I put in my body, hence my participation in this bake sale.

I learned about the National Food Bloggers Bake Sale on twitter. The Georgia coordinator of the event was this lovely lady named Tami Hardeman who is an Atlanta-based food stylist who runs the blog, www.runningwithtweezers.com. She posted about the bake sale and said they were looking for food bloggers or bloggers who like food. Since I fall in the second category, I volunteered to make some vanilla chocolate cherry cookies and help out day of the event.

It was a beautiful day in Atlanta for the sale and the goodies that had been donated were wonderful. This was definitely not your typical bake sale. There was fresh baked brioche, pumpkin bread, rosemary shortbread cookies, cocochip doodles, red velvet minis, chocolate sheet cake, chocolate candies, chocolate chip cookies, rice krispy treats and so many more goodies. It was all very beautifully packaged and all of the proceeds went to Share Our Strength, an organization dedicated to ending child hunger. I made a lovely slide show with some pictures from the event. Check them out!

I spent the morning with some lovely food bloggers with equally lovely blogs.
