There is a lot of planning and organizing going on behind the scenes here at Clueless Fashionista. I’ve made some changes to the look of the blog and I will be adding some new segments in the coming weeks.
One segment I’d like to start running is a beauty product review segment. I haven’t found a cute name for it just yet but I will when the time comes. If any of you are interested in joining my beauty panel, send me a message through the contact page.

I hope everyone had a lovely transition from 2008 to 2009. I definitely did it with lots of smiles and laughs. I wanted to take the time to thank everyone who has participated in the Clueless Fashionista community by either visiting the site, commenting on the site or sharing one of the posts with others.
I started this blog with no idea of how it would pan out and it’s done really well. I have some great things that I’m working on implementing in the new year and I look foward to sharing more of my insights with you and receiving more of your insights into the world of fashion and beauty.

As I move about my daily activities I often notice people’s outfits and clothing choices. Some people make great choices and look totally pulled together at all times. Other people aren’t so skilled. When I look at some people, it’s often painfully obvious that they got dressed in the bathroom mirror. You know, the one where you can only see the upper half of your body.
That’s not a good way to make sure that your total look is all pulled together. One simple way to start improving your wardrobe is by increasing your awareness of how you look before you leave the house. A full length mirror is a must in any fashionista’s arsenal to looking fabulous.
I must admit it, I’m guilty of getting dressed from the neck up myself. I don’t currently own a full length mirror so my goal for the next week is to go out and buy one. That should be your goal as well. If you don’t own one or the one you own is in disrepair from years of use, get a new one! The great thing about these mirrors is that you don’t have to spend lots of money on them. You can go to Walmart, Target, Kmart or even the Salvation Army and pick up a reasonably priced full length mirror.
So go! Buy a full length mirror! I’ll post a picture of mine when I get it and I invite you to do the same with yours.
I know that some of you breathed a sigh of relief when cute, ballerina flats became popular and flatter heeled boots made a strong comeback. I do agree that flatter shoes making a comeback was definitely a good thing for those of us who needed a break from those 4 inch stilettos. Well the break is partially over…flat shoes are still very popular, however nothing is more sexy than a pair of high heeled sandals. It’s officially spring time and a great pair of high heels is a lovely compliment to a spring dress.
Wearing high heels isn’t something that always comes naturally, and that is totally understandable. For those of you who don’t feel comfortable throwing on a sexy pair of high heeled sandals, you can advance slowly from flats to heels. If you’re a rebel that throws caution to the wind, you can start out with two inch heels until you get totally comfortable in them and move up to three inch heels and so on. If you’re a bit more cautious, you can start with a cute pair of kitten heels and go from there.
Don’t shy away from those high heels! Besides, this spring thicker heels are coming back so you can make your way down the path of stilettos much easier. Once you’re comfortable wearing thicker three inch heels, you will find it easier to transition into those super thin stilettos in no time!
Plus, you may want to step into something like these babies!

Well it’s March 22, 2008 and we’re officially into spring. Soon the weather will get warmer and it will be time to put away that dark, winter makeup. One of the best ways to cheerfully enter into the warm weather season is by introducing bronzer into your makeup arsenal. If you don’t have a makeup arsenal, now is the perfect time to start one! Bronzer is a great way to begin making makeup a regular part of your beauty routine. The wonderful thing about bronzer is that when applied correctly, you can wear it with some mascara and lip gloss. Simple, pretty and quick! Here’s a short video about how to properly apply bronzer. Remember, less is always more!
