How do I wear that trend…wide leg pants

Wide leg pants is a trend that can look really good but can’t be worn recklessly. This trend looks best on tall, leggy ladies but it can be worn by shorter ladies if done so subtly. Because with wide pants, theĀ  width brings the eye down, it can easily make you look shorter than you are. So, if you’re not a tall or leggy lady, I would suggest finding pants that are only slightly wide legged and make sure you do a 360 turn in the mirror.

I like how wide leg pants can look when worn properly. In fact, I’ve worn them myself even though I’m all of 5’5. But when I wore them, I made it a point to wear a tailored shirt and high heels. You really want to make sure that the legs are the widest part of your outfit otherwise, it could really make you look heavy in general. The good thing about wearing wide leg pants is that it can really make your waist and hips look smaller because all of the volume is near your ankles.

I wanted to touch on this trend for a few reasons.

1. It will be easy to find and incorporate into your wardrobe so many people will want to try it out.

2. It should be worn with caution and care. You have to make sure the pants don’t make you look like a bell.

This is a trend that I suggest everyone tread carefully with but don’t discount it completely. That’s the cool thing about fashion. There is a level of experimentation involved in it. Just make sure you go shopping with your honest, but not mean friend or family member to give you their opinion of how you look in the pants.
